The futility of our prayers without justice practices
ISAIAH 1
10
Hear the word of the LORD, princes of Sodom! Listen to the instruction of our God, people of Gomorrah!
Clearly is not being directed to those two cities, they disappeared through fire hundreds of years before of Isaiah, but by analogy goes to us, is God sees us like as the inhabitants of these two cities that were consumed Because of their extreme corruption.
11
7 What care I for the number of your sacrifices? says the LORD. I have had enough of whole-burnt rams and fat of fatlings; In the blood of calves, lambs and goats I find no pleasure.
Are we really believing? but, how to know God? God like those kinds of sacrifices? - Makes no sense.
12
When you come in to visit me, who asks these things of you?
13
8 Trample my courts no more! Bring no more worthless offerings; your incense is loathsome to me. New moon and sabbath, calling of assemblies, octaves with wickedness: these I cannot bear.
The truth, we are hypocrites, we bring offerings, celebrate holidays and birthdays, but we do not what God tell us, the kings can enjoy the adulation, but, to God, I do not believe
14
Your new moons and festivals I detest; they weigh me down, I tire of the load.
Do you believe that God accept our flattery to give us something? or learn wisdom? - Is absurd.
15
9 When you spread out your hands, I close my eyes to you; Though you pray the more, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood!
It is no use our prayers, if we are unjust, greedy and violent. but people are ignorant of these things nor want to hear, will suffer the consequences of our mistakes - not to watch where we walk, we stumble and break a leg, you never say, God punished me, the punishment is a consequence of our mistakes or sins .
16
Wash yourselves clean! Put away your misdeeds from before my eyes; cease doing evil;
17
learn to do good. Make justice your aim: redress the wronged, hear the orphan's plea, defend the widow.
If we obey these recommendations, we will see the success, we all will be fine.
18
Come now, let us set things right, says the LORD: Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow; Though they be crimson red, they may become white as wool.
God does not reject the sinner, God wait for us, the man that recognize their mistakes get closer to God and ask for his help. God also does not charge anything, everything is free.
19
If you are willing, and obey, you shall eat the good things of the land;
20
But if you refuse and resist, the sword shall consume you: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken!
God is never wrong, what God says. will happen, but give us the option of avoiding the evils doing good. We are free, what happens to us is just evil for evil - or the good by good.
