The weakness of man - bad adviser

Human beings are by nature imperfect and bad habits, make crazy assertions, if we took the precaution of confirming what we hear or say, avoid many mistakes not to making false statements or accusations.

The Jews had heard that Jesus did miracles and his teachings, but blindly say, they would not see or hear, so its findings were not true, pure gossip was without sense

If you want to know Jesus, you will find anywhere, wherever you are, but do not Guies only by what you hear from others, you hear it in person, but if there is not sincerity in your heart you can not.

10 King Herod 11 heard about it, for his fame had become widespread, and people were saying, "John the Baptist has been raised from the dead; that is why mighty powers are at work in him."

Others were saying, "He is Elijah"; still others, "He is a prophet like any of the prophets."

But when Herod learned of it, he said, "It is John whom I beheaded. He has been raised up."


John was a prophet, the ancient prophets were the guardians of the law, they were sent to remind the Jewish people when the law was not fulfilled, thus will further from God and exposed to all dangers, they were unprepared

12 Herod was the one who had John arrested and bound in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, whom he had married.

John had said to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife."

Herodias 13 harbored a grudge against him and wanted to kill him but was unable to do so.


Herod respected John, in principle, but Herod was only a human being as weak as any other.

Herodias's own daughter came in and performed a dance that delighted Herod and his guests. The king said to the girl, "Ask of me whatever you wish and I will grant it to you."

He even swore (many things) to her, "I will grant you whatever you ask of me, even to half of my kingdom."

The weakness of Herod becomes clear when seen dancing at a beautiful woman with all the seductiveness of her body and dance,take care, do not do the same.

She went out and said to her mother, "What shall I ask for?" She replied, "The head of John the Baptist."

The girl hurried back to the king's presence and made her request, "I want you to give me at once on a platter the head of John the Baptist."

Herod had to jury to give, and could not go back, fell into the trap of seduction, which is an example to take into account, lest we lose our soul.

The king was deeply distressed, but because of his oaths and the guests he did not wish to break his word to her.

So he promptly dispatched an executioner with orders to bring back his head. He went off and beheaded him in the prison.

He brought in the head on a platter and gave it to the girl. The girl in turn gave it to her mother.

In this way, the Jews were without God for not complying with the law, this is why the great suffering of the people elected, that this will serve as an example because they were under the power of law, the law does not forgive, but those under the power of faith "- if they repent of their sins or mistakes are forgiven, is the reason for the sacrifice of Jesus.
